Trip to Unchalli Falls (Sirsi, U.K)

Date: 28-10-2012
Route: Kumta ->Sirsi -> Heggarane -> Unchalli Falls

My cousin Suhas and myself started from Udupi at 2:30PM by a train. We got one express train. Also could not seat to sit, so we found door is the best place to sit and take photos of coastal beauty.

We reached Kumata Railway Station at around 5:10PM, and hired a auto to bus-stand, because we didn't know that the bus-stand is so close that with in 2 minute we can reach by an auto. As we reached we could see some going to Sirsi, but we were hungry and wanted to have some food. So we left the bus and went to hotel. and came back to Kumata bus-stand at 5:30PM. The bad luck was strong that we could get a bus till 7:00PM. Finally one bus came with fully occupied by passengers. Some how we both got place to sit. Bus reached to Sirsi at 8:30PM.

As the city was new to us, we could find one Veg. Hotel for our dinner. Then started searching for good lodge and we got one star lodge. It was so good means we count the stars while sleep.

We got up early in the morning and went to to a famous temple. The temple is Marikamba  Temple. It was calm and quite in the early morning and spent some time in and around of the temple.

The we decided to go to Unchalli Falls, so we caught 7:30AM bus. It was first bus to Heggarane, including bus and conductor we were five in the bus. We reached at 8:30 AM, the whole village was enjoying early morning sleep.
So we had to walk 6km, otherwise we would have get rented bikes or Omni cars.  We took nearly one and half hour to reach near Unchalli Falls.

There are two routes to reach  falls. One route takes you to down the falls. Another is to view points.

We spent one hour near the falls and came back to Heggarane and caught bus to Sirsi. We got a jeep to Kumta and took 4:30PM train to Udupi. Reached Udupi at 7:00PM.
